Zombie Sector lets you slay the undead using wonky cadets in physics-based gameplay, coming to Android May 26
Rennert Games’ Pontus Pettersson has announced the upcoming launch of the studio’s undead-themed RPG on mobile titled Zombie Sector. Players will have to assemble their team of cadets to fend off the infected while trying to uncover the hidden secrets of the game’s underground sectors.
Of course, while Zombie Sector’s theme may be all about gloom and doom, the game’s visuals and characters keep things light and humorous. Players can train physics-based “dumb” cadets and equip them with the best abilities that will help them survive hordes of the undead, or they can choose to have these fighters use their own survival skills with a sharp club to see if they’ve got what it takes.
The game also features underground environments, sheds, and unexplored areas in the wild where players can score valuable resources outside of the quarantine zone. They can craft weapons, acquire mods, and collect blueprints to increase their survivability in this so-called “wobbly take on a zombie apocalypse.”
“I recently committed to taking a huge risk and left my old game development company to pursue something more close to my heart.“, says Pettersson.”That’s when I founded the new studio Rennert Games – which now has its first title two weeks after launch..”
Additionally, the game allows you to participate in asynchronous PVP as well as progression leaderboards.
If you’re curious about the game, Zombie Sector will soon be available for download on the Google Play Store for Android devices on May 26.
