January 2022 PlayStation Now games include Mortal Kombat 11

Sony will add six new titles to its PlayStation Now service for January 2022. We already knew that Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age would be added this month, but this game is also joined by Mortal Kombat 11, Fury Unleashed, Unturned, Super Time Force Ultra, and Kerbal Space Program: Enhanced Edition.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is the final title of the five Final fantasy games to join PlayStation Now. Zodiac age is the PlayStation 4 remaster of Final Fantasy XII which also includes a remastered soundtrack, trophy stand and the International Zodiac Jobs System content that was previously exclusive to Japan. The game takes place in the midst of an endless war between Archadia and Rozarria. The small kingdom of Dalmasca is annexed by the tyrannical Archadia. Dalmasca Princess Ashe forms a resistance movement and teams up with would-be sky pirate Vaan. Together, they try to bring down the Archadian Empire.

Mortal Kombat 11 is the latest addition to the long-running fighting franchise and continues the story as players attempt to stop Kronika from stepping back in time and changing the course of history. The game offers a roster of 25 fighters although the 12 additional DLC fighters are not included as the version of the game on PlayStation Now is not Mortal Kombat 11 UltimateNew features include Fatal Blows and Krushing Blows, as well as custom character variations that give players the ability to customize their fighters to suit their playstyle.

Unleashed fury is a roguelike action platformer that goes through the pages of a comic book as the hero tries to find out why the comic book creator has lost confidence. Each failed execution means players can upgrade their hero before trying again. Not returned is an open world voxel sandbox where up to 24 players can work together to survive a zombie apocalypse. Food, supplies, and clothing should be found around the world, but radiation exposure should be minimized. Health, hunger and thirst must be tightly managed.

Super Time Force Ultra is a frantic platform game where players can manipulate time to give them an advantage while taking out enemies. By rewinding time, characters can even team up with previous versions of themselves, turning a single player experience into a cooperative game. Finally, Kerbal Space Program puts players in command of a space program that would launch a race of aliens called Kerbals into the Kerbol solar system. After building a spaceship, players will be able to explore the moons and planets of the solar system while developing the Kerbal civilization.

All games will be available on PlayStation Now starting tomorrow, January 4, and all appear to be permanent additions to the service. Unfortunately, this is not always the case and some games are also leaving service tomorrow. Both The Last of Us Part II and Nioh 2 will be leaving PlayStation Now on January 4.
