Hideo Kojima Teases His Next Game Announcement

Legendary video game creator Hideo Kojima is once again teasing his fans on the internet. Kojima tweeted on August 13 which read, “Editing tentatively complete for now.”

The Tweet

There were two images in the tweet, but only one is worth analyzing. This image was an image of an editing tool with several scenes from A1 to A9 and V1 to V11. Although I’m not sure, I think all A’s represent audio files and all V’s represent video scenes. There is also something in Japanese, but I have no idea what it is.

Possible games

Kojima Productions may have made a good game, but the studio isn’t good at keeping secrets. We already know that the studio is working on two games. The first is the sequel to Death Strandingaccidentally confirmed by the actor of the game’s protagonist, Norman Reedus. The second was leaked a few months ago.

The leaked game is an episodic horror game called Overdose. The rumor is that Overdose is the same game developed in collaboration with Microsoft. During the recent Summer Game Fest, Xbox manager Phil Spencer confirmed that he was working with Hideo Kojima on a new game.

Possible place to reveal

Although we don’t know for sure which game will be present, we do know that the reveal is close. Gamescom 2022 seems like a great place to announce the title. The upcoming event is less than two weeks away (August 24-28) and is very popular among players.

Additional reveal at The Game Awards 2022

Even if Kojima picks Gamescom to reveal the game, I’m sure we’ll still see something at The Game Awards 2022. Kojima is pals with Geoff Keighley, the show’s organizer and host. Keighley starred as Ludens Fan – a trainer in Death Stranding.
