BrightLine Bags Reviews – Create the Ultimate Gear Bag of Your Dreams
SEE AGAIN – I used to dream of creating the perfect gear bag. In these dreams, I wanted a bag that could transform from small to large depending on what I needed to take with me. Large for travel, slim for commuting to work. I contacted a few popular bag manufacturers to see if they would be interested in collaborating. A business seemed genuinely interested, then collapsed on me and stopped bouncing my emails. I realized that my dream of creating my own gear bag wasn’t meant to be… until I came across BrightLine bags and their amazing modular Flex system. Have all my dreams come true? Let’s take a look and find out.
What is that?
The BrightLine Bags Flex System is a collection of bag components that zip together to create an equipment bag that is configured exactly the way you want it to be. The bags were originally designed for pilots, but anyone can buy them, including gadgets like us!
What’s in the box?
BrightLine Bags sent me a collection of components so I could get a good idea of how the Flex system works and its potential. What you see above doesn’t match all of the components available at BrightLine Bags, it’s just a small collection, but here’s what they sent me:
- Pocket Cap Front
- Flat rear cap
- Middle section two
- Center section five
- Foxtrot with side pocket
- Side pocket echo
- Table base plate
- Flexible bay kit
- Main handle
Design and functionality
The components of the BrightLine Bags Flex System are made of black canvas with sturdy zippers with color coded pull tabs.
The idea is that you choose a front and wrapped “cap” and then center sections to create a bag with the storage dimensions you need.
The components attach to each other with zippers.
It is up to you to decide which components and the order of attaching them.
Here are all the components BrightLine Bags sent me. I like the bag to stand up straight without falling.
I also like that the larger middle section has protective feet at the bottom.
See how it all fits together
